Tim has been with Floyd Watkins and Associates, Inc. since 1976 when he entered the insurance business.  Tim earned his LUTCF (Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship) designation in 1989.  Tim has been involved with his Professional Association and has worked with several community organizations.   Professionally, he has held every chair position including President of the Vancouver-Clark County Chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers) in 1983-1984.  He has been a moderator for a NAIFA LUTC Education Program and served as a regional Vice-President for the Washington State Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  Tim has also served on several insurance carriers Agents Advisory Boards.  Tim was honored with the State Community Service Award from NAIFA-Washington in 1986 for 10 or more continuious years of community service. Tim has served the March of Dimes for 10 years as a director, board member and ultimately chairman.  Tim was a board member of the Fort Vancouver Days Association for 22 years serving as its President three separate times.

Tim's focus is on group and individual medical needs. He also provides business continuation planning. 


Brian Berg

Brian earned a degree in 1987 from the University of Puget Sound in Economics with an emphasis in English Literature. Brian began his career in insurance in 1990 with American National before he joined Floyd Watkins & Associates, Inc. in 1994. Prior to his insurance career Brian worked as a Bank Manager for a national savings and loan company and he also held a position as a research consultant for a local economic research firm in Portland.  Professionally, he has held several chair positions including President of the Vancouver-Clark County Chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers) in 1999-2000. Brian earned his LUTCF, (Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship), designation in 1996. In 2005 Brian was accepted as a member of the Life and Health Advisory for the Office of Insurance Commissioner.

Brian's area of expertise is in disability income and group medical coverage.  He has over fifteen years of experience in the insurance industry and was raised in Vancouver, Wa.


Sil Arata

Sil has been with Floyd Watkins & Associates, Inc. since 1983.  He has been in the insurance profession since 1981, where he began his career at New York Life Insurance. Sil has held several positions with Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors since joining in 1981, including President of the Vancouver-Clark County Chapter in 1994-1995 and Washington State President in 2002-2003.  Sil was the President of the Clark County Chapter of the Estate Planning Council in 1993-1994 and and has served as a member of the Life and Health Agents Advisory for the Office of the Insurance Commissioner for twelve years ending in 2005.  His interest in community has resulted in his serving on the boards of several organizations including the March of Dimes, Trails West Art Association and as a member of the S.W.I.F.T. Board where he garnered "Rookie of the Year" recognition in 1988.

Sil’s primary focus is in the area of Small Business with emphasis on Exit Strategies and Estate Planning through the use of life insurance.  Sil earned his L.U.T.C.F. (Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship) designation in 1989 and has been a multiple year "Qualifying Member" of the MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table).
